Sin

how-unforgiveness-destroys-your-heart

“Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:1-4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This passage says “love God and keep His commands.”  Hum, which commands? Where are those commands?  To name a few, The 10 Commandments, Keep the Sabbath, Keep the Feast… This is easy, not burdensome.  Some people think the “law” is burdensome.  The contrary is true.  One must define sin.

Sin means to miss the mark, the mark was the Torah. When you miss it you have sinned. WE ALL HAVE MISSED IT!

Thoughts that  run through my brain.

  1. Where do I find Definitions for sin?
    1. New Testament 183 times sin is used
    2. Old Testament 485 times sin is used
    3. Law of first mention defines the term, look at where it is first used to help define it, go back to the garden

Some have asked me “Why do you want to go back under the law?”  Which I reply. “You want lawlessness?”

Two Laws

  1. Sin and Death
  2. LAW of God

I am no longer under the law of sin and death. I am under the LAW of God with Jesus as my Court defense attorney. Going against a greasy, slick, overly cocky prosecuting attorney who has the DNA.

When we open the door to Sin we MUST repent. Make Teshuvah.  When we don’t make Repentance, we open up a legal doorway for that greasy, slick, overly cocky, Prosecuting attorney to rail accusations against us and give him

lawyer

legal authority to operate in our lives. We when cry out for forgiveness and make Teshuvah we cover that opening and Jesus cries “Objection, I have him covered by my blood!” The judge yells “Objection Sustained!” He then promptly calls out “Case dismissed!”

Awesome! I want this happening for me, don’t you?

Matthew 6:14

14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Ouch!  This one hurts? Does it smash your toes a bit? It does mine. If I don’t forgive, I give Satan Power and authority to bring the case before the Judge.  I must Forgive or there will be no objection from my lawyer.

So, what is sin?  I am going to start working on this now.  I must forgive, I must forget,  I must remember no more the sins, and wounds that others have made against me.  If I can’t do this, He says He can’t defend me.

If you are still remembering the wrong that has been done to you and you still get angry and get lost in the remembrance of that moment, my friend you have not forgiven.  This will lead to bitterness, it will consume you like gangrene. I am speaking to my self here. I have this, I must speak repentance over my heart and my mind on a regular basis. This my friends is the sin we should start eradicating in our lives now before it’s too late.

Please join my in prayer asking the Father to help us let go and release all forms of forgiveness and bitterness in our hearts.
