Noah, Daniel, and Job in Ezekiel 14

The Bride

It started with their faith.

What does it mean to be “faithful” in marriage? It means you keep your word, by honoring your vows. This simply means that your actions line up with the words you spoke to your spouse on your wedding day.

All three of these mean represent a faithful bride.

They represent the bride in the end times. This bride must be faithful, humble by obedience, tested and endures to the very end, to be found faithful and true by our groom Yeshua.

All Creation Judged

Noah represents the end from the beginning. He represents the end time judgment of the earth. Revelation has a backwards timeline that takes us back to the flood and finally back to the garden where it all began.

The Called Out ones (Church, Bride, Israel) Judged

Daniel represents the Bride. Daniel is faithful and true, despite living though a very difficult time.

Everyman Judged for their works

Job represents how individuals are tired and test. A foreshadowing of the trial and testing that will be done during the end time judgment.

Read on below to see the scriptures that support this. Don’t take our word for it. Dive into His word and see what He says to you!

12 Yahweh spoke his word to me. He said, 13 “Son of man, suppose a country sins against me by being unfaithful to me. I will use my power against it, cut off its food supply, send a famine to it, and destroy its people and animals. 14 Even if these three men—Noah, Daniel, and Job—were in that country, they would, by their righteousness, rescue only themselves,” declares Adonay Yahweh. 15 “Suppose I send wild animals through that country and they make it childless and turn it into such a wasteland that no one travels through it because of the animals. 16 As I live, declares Adonay Yahweh, not even Noah, Daniel, and Job could rescue their own sons or daughters. They could rescue only themselves. And the country would become a wasteland. 17 “Suppose I bring a war against that country by saying, ‘I will let a war go throughout this country.’ Suppose I destroy the people and the animals in it. 18 As I live, declares Adonay Yahweh, not even Noah, Daniel, and Job could rescue their sons or daughters. They could rescue only themselves. 19 “Suppose I send a plague into that country or pour out my fury on it by killing people and destroying animals. 20 As I live, declares Adonay Yahweh, not even Noah, Daniel, and Job could, by their righteousness, rescue their sons or daughters. They could rescue only themselves.

Ezekiel 14:12-20

What Do They Have in Common?

The following Men are represented by the following Qualities.

In this passage (Ezekiel 14:12-20) we see some qualities we should be aware of. These are in no particular order. All three of these men live lives of faithfulness, humble obedience, being testing and enduring to the very end, and were all loved by Yah. They were loved by Yah and found his favor because of their faithfulness.

Faithful

Genesis 6:5-9

Names of God Bible

Yahweh saw how evil humans had become on the earth. All day long their deepest thoughts were nothing but evil. Yahweh was sorry that he had made humans on the earth, and he was heartbroken. So Yahweh said, “I will wipe off the face of the earth these humans that I created. I will wipe out not only humans, but also domestic animals, crawling animals, and birds. I’m sorry that I made them.” But Yahweh was pleased with Noah.

Noah’s Family and the Ship

This is the account of Noah and his descendants.

Noah had God’s approval and was a man of integrity among the people of his time. He walked with Elohim.

Job 1:1-8

Names of God Bible

A man named Job lived in Uz. He was a man of integrity: He was decent, he feared Elohim, and he stayed away from evil. He had seven sons and three daughters. He owned 7,000 sheep and goats, 3,000 camels, 1,000 oxen, 500 donkeys, and a large number of servants. He was the most influential person in the Middle East.

His sons used to go to each other’s homes, where they would have parties. (Each brother took his turn having a party.) They would send someone to invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them.

When they finished having their parties, Job would send for them in order to cleanse them from sin. He would get up early in the morning and sacrifice burnt offerings for each of them. Job thought, “My children may have sinned and cursed Elohim in their hearts.” Job offered sacrifices for them all the time.

One day when the sons of Elohim came to stand in front of Yahweh, Satan the Accuser came along with them.

Yahweh asked Satan, “Where have you come from?”

Satan answered Yahweh, “From wandering all over the earth.”

Yahweh asked Satan, “Have you thought about my servant Job? No one in the world is like him! He is a man of integrity: He is decent, he fears Elohim, and he stays away from evil.”

Daniel 1:8-21

Names of God Bible

Daniel made up his mind not to harm himself by eating the king’s rich food and drinking the king’s wine. So he asked the chief-of-staff for permission not to harm himself in this way.

Elohim made the chief-of-staff kind and compassionate toward Daniel. 10 The chief-of-staff told Daniel, “I’m afraid of my master, the king. The king determined what you should eat and drink. If he sees that you look worse than the other young men your age, he would have my head cut off.”

11 The chief-of-staff put a supervisor in charge of Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Daniel said to the supervisor, 12 “Please test us for ten days. Give us only vegetables to eat and water to drink. 13 Then compare us to the young men who are eating the king’s rich food. Decide how to treat us on the basis of how we look.”

14 The supervisor listened to them about this matter and tested them for ten days. 15 After ten days they looked healthier and stronger than the young men who had been eating the king’s rich food. 16 So the supervisor took away the king’s rich food and wine and gave them vegetables.

17 Elohim gave these four men knowledge, wisdom, and the ability to understand all kinds of literature. Daniel could also understand all kinds of visions and dreams.

18 At the end of the three-year training period, the chief-of-staff brought all the young men to Nebuchadnezzar. 19 The king talked to them and found no one like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah among all of them. So these four men served the king. 20 Whenever the king asked them about things that required wisdom and insight, he found that they knew ten times more than all the magicians and psychics in his whole kingdom.

21 Daniel served the royal palace until the first year of King Cyrus of Persia

Remnant-Narrow Path

1 Peter 3:20-22

Names of God Bible

20 They are like those who disobeyed long ago in the days of Noah when God waited patiently while Noah built the ship. In this ship a few people—eight in all—were saved by water. 21 Baptism, which is like that water, now saves you. Baptism doesn’t save by removing dirt from the body. Rather, baptism is a request to God for a clear conscience. It saves you through Yeshua Christ, who came back from death to life. 22 Christ has gone to heaven where he has the highest position that God gives. Angels, rulers, and powers have been placed under his authority.

Daniel 6:13

Names of God Bible

13 “My brothers stay far away from me.
My friends are complete strangers to me.
14 My relatives and my closest friends have stopped coming.
My house guests have forgotten me.
15 My female slaves consider me to be a stranger.
I am like a foreigner to them.
16 I call my slave, but he doesn’t answer, though I beg him.
17 My breath offends my wife.
I stink to my own children.
18 Even young children despise me.
If I stand up, they make fun of me.
19 All my closest friends are disgusted with me.
Those I love have turned against me.
20 I am skin and bones,
and I have escaped only by the skin of my teeth.

21 “Have pity on me, my friends!
Have pity on me because Eloah’s hand has struck me down.
22 Why do you pursue me as El does?
Why are you never satisfied with my flesh?

Humble

Hebrews 11:7

Names of God Bible

Faith led Noah to listen when God warned him about the things in the future that he could not see. He obeyed God and built a ship to save his family. Through faith Noah condemned the world and received God’s approval that comes through faith.

Daniel 9:1-19

Names of God Bible

Xerxes’ son Darius, who was a Mede by birth, was made ruler of the kingdom of Babylon. In the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, learned from the Scriptures the number of years that Jerusalem would remain in ruins. Yahweh had told the prophet Jeremiah that Jerusalem would remain in ruins for 70 years. So I turned to Adonay Elohim and looked to him for help. I prayed, pleaded, and fasted in sackcloth and ashes.

I prayed to Yahweh my Elohim. I confessed and said, “Adonay, you are great and deserve respect as the only God. You keep your promise[a] and show mercy to those who love you and obey your commandments. We have sinned, done wrong, acted wickedly, rebelled, and turned away from your commandments and laws. We haven’t listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, leaders, ancestors, and all the common people. You, Adonay, are righteous. But we—the men of Judah, the citizens of Jerusalem, and all the Israelites whom you scattered in countries near and far—are still ashamed because we have been unfaithful to you. We, our kings, leaders, and ancestors are ashamed because we have sinned against you, Yahweh.

“But you, Adonay our Elohim, are compassionate and forgiving, although we have rebelled against you. 10 We never listened to Yahweh our Elohim or lived by the teachings you gave us through your servants the prophets. 11 All Israel has ignored your teachings and refused to listen to you. So you brought on us the curses you swore in an oath, the curses written in the Teachings of Elohim’s servant Moses. We sinned against you. 12 So you did what you said you would do to us and our rulers by bringing a great disaster on us. Nowhere in the world has anything ever happened like what has happened to Jerusalem. 13 This entire disaster happened to us, exactly as it was written in Moses’ Teachings. Yahweh our Elohim, we never tried to gain your favor by turning from our wrongs and dedicating ourselves to your truth. 14 So Yahweh was prepared to bring this disaster on us. Yahweh our Elohim, you are righteous in everything you do. But we never listened to you.

15 Adonay our Elohim, you brought your people out of Egypt with your strong hand and made yourself famous even today. We have sinned and done evil things. 16 Adonay, since you are very righteous, turn your anger and fury away from your city, Jerusalem, your holy mountain. Jerusalem and your people are insulted by everyone around us because of our sins and the wicked things our ancestors did.

17 “Our Elohim, listen to my prayer and request. For your own sake, Adonay, look favorably on your holy place, which is lying in ruins. 18 Open your ears and listen, my Elohim. Open your eyes and look at our ruins and at the city called by your name. We are not requesting this from you because we are righteous, but because you are very compassionate. 19 Listen to us, Adonay. Forgive us, Adonay. Pay attention, and act. Don’t delay! Do this for your sake, my Elohim, because your city and your people are called by your name.”

Job 42:1-6

Names of God Bible

42 Then Job answered Yahweh,

“I know that you can do everything
and that your plans are unstoppable.

“You said, ‘Who is this that belittles my advice
without having any knowledge about it?’
Yes, I have stated things I didn’t understand,
things too mysterious for me to know.

“You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak.
I will ask you, and you will teach me.’
I had heard about you with my own ears,
but now I have seen you with my own eyes.
That is why I take back what I said,
and I sit in dust and ashes to show that I am sorry.”

12 Yahweh blessed the latter years of Job’s life more than the earlier years. He had 14,000 sheep and goats, 6,000 camels, 2,000 oxen, and 1,000 donkeys. 13 He also had seven sons and three daughters. 14 He named the first daughter Jemimah, the second Cassia, and the third Keren Happuch. 15 Nowhere in the whole country could be found women who were as beautiful as Job’s daughters. What do We Do With This Now?

We are to be prepared for the following:

  • Trials and testing of our faith
  • No one else may be with us
  • No promise or expectations’ of an easy life

If we have the faithfulness, humbleness, and endurance of these three, we too will be found faithful and true by our groom Yeshua.
