Prayers answered! 6”+ of rain have fallen since August! Praise Yahuah!

The Heat is on here in Texas.  It has been oppressive this week, please pray for rain and heat relief for us in Texas.

Driving around this week I saw this house.  Everyone else had allowed their grass to go dormant in this heat. This yard stood out amongst the others, so much so I had to pull over and take a look.  I pulled over and awkwardly snapped this pick and pulled up the grass on their yard and examined it closely to determine that it was a spray painted lawn.  I guess it’s one way to get your grass green without a high water bill!

Seeing this grass made me think of this scripture.

^{Matthew 25} “How horrible it will be for you, experts in Moses’ Teachings and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You clean the outside of cups and dishes. But inside they are full of greed and uncontrolled desires. ²⁶ You blind Pharisees! First clean the inside of the cups and dishes so that the outside may also be clean.

²⁷ “How horrible it will be for you, experts in Moses’ Teachings and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You are like whitewashed graves that look beautiful on the outside but inside are full of dead people’s bones and every kind of impurity. ²⁸ So on the outside you look as though you have God’s approval, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

²⁹ “How horrible it will be for you, experts in Moses’ Teachings and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the monuments of those who had God’s approval. ³⁰ Then you say, ‘If we had lived at the time of our ancestors, we would not have helped to murder the prophets.’ ³¹ So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets. ³² Go ahead, finish what your ancestors started!

SUBURBIA CHURCH

Look at how many “mega” pastors travel around in Lear Jets, live in Luxury, and live the lifestyles of CEO’s.  They preach to the congregants about giving their hard earned dollars to the church so that it can reach the world for Jesus, when a large percentage of the money is supporting their lifestyle or building bigger and better alters for their own edification.

They have become our modern day Pharisees.  The look good on the outside, nice suit, perfect hair, trophy wife, big house… They like a lot of themselves and the love for people to adore them. They are businessmen that have created cooperate like cultures  with motto’s, logos, church colors, and mission statements.

They are the CEO’s.  Just like a CEO they plan and coordinate their vision of what the church should be.   They tell you it is what God has told them to do.  How much of it lines up with scripture? Big Buildings, Fast Lifestyles, Fat wallets, how many prophets in the past lived like this?

When the word is preached isn’t suppose to be sharper than a two edged sword?

In the end they fill their churches with plastic people that seem so neat, clean and tidy on the outside.  They have the right circle of friends, live in the right neighborhood, go to the right school, have the nice car… But inside they are not being changed.  They are still the same person they were 10 years ago.

REAL CHURCH

Churches that have the fire of Yah cause your toes to bleed because they are stepped on so many times.  Repentance is preached, the message is about how WE HAVE TO CHANGE. It is messy, and difficult.  They talk about the reality of Hell, the talk about blessings and curses.  They talk about being refined by fire.  They do not promise an easy road, a rich lifestyle, a lifestyle that makes you cool and relatable to the average Joe.  They speak about going against the grain and doing what is not popular.

It is time to wake up, and quit playing church.  Too many of us are walking around like the dirty dish, or stinky tomb that looks clean, smells clean on the outside, but we can’t hide our hearts from the Father.

So how do you know if you are in a good place? If the following scripture is evident in your life and others at your church, something is right.

Don’t become like the people of this world. Instead, change the way you think. Then you will always be able to determine what God really wants—what is good, pleasing, and perfect.

GET OUT

If you find yourself in a church that is fake, you must RUN, get out, lead your family and take as many as you can before it is too late.  Start your own church in you living room.  It’s cheap, easy and your kids will get way more out of it.
